A tankless unit is sized by how much hot water you use at the same time, not by gallons. We count the showers, the dishwasher and the laundry that might run together, and we allow for how cold the water coming into the house gets in a Lower Mainland winter. What the installation involves
You get a written estimate after we look at your current water heater, gas line, venting and where the new unit will go. Most tankless units need a properly sized gas line and their own venting, and high-efficiency units also need a condensate drain. On install day we take out the old tank, mount the new unit, connect the gas, venting and water lines, set the temperature and test every tap before we leave. We take care of the permits the job needs.
